Add custom field at space level - possible?

Stefan Mueller January 7, 2019

Hello,

in reference to https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Add-custom-field-at-project-level-possible/qaq-p/300504, is there anything comparable for Confluence?

Well, Confluence doesn't have custom fields. So, I'm not quite sure what it is you are trying to accomplish.

Would something like Space Fields for Confluence meet what you are trying to accomplish?

It should still work. It just may not show up confluence admin, but if you manually download the app you should be able to manually install it. If you have a test system I would try it there first.

On this page you can download the jar file. Then on http(s)://{your-server}/plugins/servlet/upm you can use the "Upload add-on" button to manually install it.

The add-on browser within Confluence Admin will only show you stuff that has been marked as working with your version and if you are data center has been verified for data center. Typically the APIs don't change much between versions. However, Atlassian still requires vendors to mark their add-ons for each version of Confluence even if the API used have had no changes to them. They just want the verndors to verify they have tested on the new version of Confluence. Often vendors will test and mark the app as compatible with no changes to the code base at all.
