API keys for on premise confluence server

I need help creating an api key. I found the instructions for the cloud version but am unable to find them for on premise server. We want to use REST

Hi Derek,

The Server version doesn't have API keys like Cloud without using a plugin from the marketplace. It is possible to basic auth on each call though. You may want to install Atlassian's Rest API Browser to view all endpoints and see if there is an endpoint to start a session; Jira's is auth/1/session. Cheers!
