Our development team has been experiencing the following issue this past week.
We have a script that uses the API to do certain things that is no longer working. The error comes through as a locked account, but looking into it further led us to seeing xmlrpclib being deprecated. Here’s the error: xmlrpclib.Fault: <Fault 0: "java.lang.Exception: com.atlassian.confluence.rpc.AuthenticationFailedException: Attempt to log in user 'devemail' failed. The maximum number of failed login attempts has been reached. Please log into the web application through the web interface to reset the number of failed login attempts.”>
We were able to login to the web frontend with this account successfully without issue.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Look up the account in the Users admin menu option, does it say it's locked out? How many failed attempts?
