Is it possible to have the HTML macro added to our confluence

Haroon Habibi January 3, 2023

Is it possible to have the HTML macro added to our confluence project? https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/html-macro-38273085.htmlMy intended use case is to embed JIRA issue collectors into confluence pages as described by this document: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver0817/advanced-use-of-the-jira-issue-collector-1071816234.html
(I'm also open to alternative solutions if something better/more secure exists)

Hi @Haroon Habibi ,

Your confluence admin should enable the plugin first.

  1. Go to  > Manage apps.

  2. Select System from the drop down and search for the Confluence HTML Macros system app.
  3. Enable Confluence HTML Macros
  4. Expand the listing and enable the html (html-xhtml)  module as well.

Direct link for add-ons page is https://<baseURL>/plugins/servlet/upm/manage/system

If you are trying to get ticket details rom Jira into confluence, then you can make use of Jira macro in the confluence page. In search section, you can mention your jira filter name so that confluence gets the data.

Hi @Haroon Habibi ,

This will work only if your and Jira and confluence are linked using application link ( https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/link-to-other-applications-938846918.html )

  1. If there is application link, then create a filter in your jira and save it.
  2. Now go to your confluence page, edit page and add Jira macro
  3. In the pop-up window which open, give filter details. See screenshot
  4. Click Insert and then Save the page. Each time you open the page, it will display the results from jira filter.

Please note: List of tickets will be shown to users if they have access to tickets in Jira server. Jira permissions will be applied here.
