Confluence Space Race

As an organization member, I want to accelerate the learning and acceptance of Confluence as a promotional and collaboration platform so that our org can catch up and pass our competition and we can enjoy our part in making that happen.

Do you want to accomplish many things in your organization at once with Confluence?  Hold a Confluence "Space Race".

Ingredients:

• Wide Open Space in Confluence (permission wise)
• Team Set of Pages Example in Confluence (Team Page with Sample Pictures and Profiles, Reporting Page for Jira Issues, Working Agreement Samples (Definition of Ready and Definition of Done), Team Metrics: (Velocity, Happiness, Improvements, Sprint Goals)
• Several Confluence internal consultants\guides on hand
• A set of criteria for the Space Race Contest for teams to be judged against
• A set of judges to judge entries
• Mission Control
• Awards
• Recognition
• A number of Teams that volunteer to participate
• A Space related logo for contest and future contest identity
• A 3 Hour Segment to participate in the contest by the Teams

Hold the Event 

(Each Team copies the Example Pages and makes them their own ...in 3 hours)

1. Have Fun
2. Learn by Accident
3. Judge the Entries
4. Pick the winners
5. Send out Awards
6. Announce the winners
7. Point out high points of every single entry
8. Put a highlight page of every Entry into a self running PowerPoint.
9. Post the PowerPoint on the Awards page you make in Confluence
10. Promote the Space Race Event
11. Have Teams copy their pages to the appropriate Spaces after the Event
12. Do it again.
