Just received your onDemand announcement email.
Overall it sounds great but the fact that you are removing the ability for us to use our own domain name is going to force us to cancel our subscription with you.
I assume this is going to be the case with a lot of your other customers as well.
You are also removing almost all of the customization abilities including templates/themes/macros/layouts.
You are basically taking away every reason why we chose your company/product.
This is rediculous.
We definitely understand that many users need the custom domains and control that is currently available in our enterprise hosted instances so we've organised with our current hosting partner Contegix to continue hosting your application in much the same way as your hosting experience is currently operated.
You can find out more about the Contegix hosting environment and enquire about moving over to their services at this page. Your current hosting arrangement will be untouched until the 31st of December 2012 so you have plenty of time to decide what you want to do.
Thanks for the response but unfortunately this won't be an option for us.
At least we have 2 months to find some way to migrate to another company.

What is the timeframe for adding support for custom domains to Confluence OnDemand? We just want to point a CNAME to our online documentation.

Also worth noting, the feature request for this is being tracked here: https://studio.atlassian.com/browse/JST-5311

What is the latest on this? Seems like the issue hasn't gotten any feedback from Atlassian. Is this going to be another one of those "in 2 years" things and then even after 2 years we never see it? Can we get an honest answer on when we might see this?

In case anyone finds this helpful. I think we are going to move our confluence to a cloud server until Atlassian is able to offer custom domains and at least better style/custom macro support for onDemand.
