Are you currently on a Compass beta plan? If so, you’ll need to select a Free or Standard plan by March 31st, 2024 to continue using Compass. The Compass software catalog is free for all users regardless of your plan so everyone can connect their repositories, libraries, APIs, and more in one unified location. No matter which plan is best for you, your teams can benefit from a centralized catalog that reduces cognitive load for a better developer experience.
Please refer to this Community post for detailed instructions on how to move from beta to a Free or Standard plan. If you wish to move to an annual subscription, please reach out to your enterprise advocate for a quote and help in your move, or alternatively, you can contact us here.
Last month we released the native Compass integration with Jira Software which brings the Compass components and the Component tab to Jira users. As part of our ongoing investment in Jira + Compass, we’re improving the admin experience with new admin controls. Admins can now make Compass components the default for new company-managed Jira Software projects so more teams can benefit from:
Linking issues to software components and tracking work against health metrics
Identifying bottlenecks and improving your developer experience
Ready to get started? Learn how to use the Compass component field in your Jira Software project and watch the demo from our recent webinar.
Wondering how last week’s retro impacts the software team's delivery? Now teams can track the history of their metrics and scorecards as they make changes and see how software health and performance of their software components are impacted. Filterable charts reveal historical trends at the component level and across the organization, revealing how work impacts software delivery and quality. Learn more about scorecard history.
Give your developers a better experience with the DX + Compass integration. Designed by the researchers behind DORA and SPACE metrics, DX’s DevEx 360 surveys help you:
Identify the top opportunities to improve developer job satisfaction
Pinpoint the biggest factors slowing down your software development teams
Empower every team to improve with individualized insights and recommendations
All directly within Compass. Learn more here.
You can now select which Bitbucket project to use when creating a component from a Bitbucket template in Compass. This makes it easier to use and access your new repository and component. Not using Compass templates yet? Learn more about building golden paths for your software development team and leave your feedback in the comments below.
It’s even easier to find what you’re looking for: labels no longer appear in the filter dropdowns if they aren’t applied to any components. This keeps your dropdowns clutter-free and easier to navigate. Log in and try it out today!
