Does building the opensource Clover need to happen on Linux?

carl sjoquist March 1, 2018

I'm not having much success trying to build on Windows.  mvn commands are not working though mvn is in my path and otherwise ok.

Hi Carl, I'm developing Clover on Windows and there's no problem with that.

Just edit the build.properties file and put the full path to your Maven executable.

You will need also a path to Mercurial if you want to tag releases from the build.

One of Clover developers used Windows for Clover development, so technically it should be possible to compile Clover on Windows machine.  During open source process we might to hardcode some paths to libraries so that may be the reason why compilation on Windows fails.

Having any error report or stacktrace would help to determine what's wrong.
