switch branch in bitbucket repo with local command

I am pulling my code to Phonegap Build from BB using this :

https://myID:mypassd@bitbucket.org/boardlinedevs/boardline.git
but, altough I have

git checkout featureBranch1

on my local machine, phonegap build is sill pulling code from the master branch.

How to chekcout to another branch in Biotbucket ?(sorry I am new to this)

Answering to myself : I think the only option is to change what bitbucket calls the "Main" branch in the settings, so that it is the branch that is pulled with this url.

Seems like a shortcoming of Phonegap Build (whatever that is) that it doesn't allow you to specify a branch.

if it was not with Phonegap, how would you modify the url to pull another branch ?
