private repository

Giovanni Azua October 31, 2012

I am considering uploading a project initially as private repository to be hosted in bitbucket. Are there any license issues connected to the fact that my project will be hosted in bitbucket? or I can freely choose the license I want for my project? are there tools to make a project web page etc? in the same spirit as sourceforge?

Hi There,

I believe if you are referring to making a certain repository private, then yes, you can choose your repos to be private on BitBucket even on a free account.

As for the project webpages, there's something similar that you can configure on BitBucket that can make this possible, a guideline is below which explains is better than I do:

Hope that helps!
