gz the stash backup output

Is it possible to gz the stash backup output directly over a parameter/properties within the backup-config.properties?

How others do made this?

Hi Martin,

We made the decision to not zip the contents of the backup as it affect performance on something that was already quite slow. Is it possible to zip them manually afterwards (but obviously unzip them again if you want to restore).

Feel free to raise a feature request if this is something you would like to see implemented.
