footers in bitbucket

I am trying to update the footer in Bitbucket to display the correct copyright statement. Is this something I can do from the front end, or will I have to use vm (putty)? If I have to use putty, where would this copyright statement/footer be located?

You have to edit the SOY templates in the installation directory of Bitbucket. Depending on what version do you have, it can be found in:

$ROOT/atlassian-stash/static/webpanels/global-footer.soy"
$ROOT/atlassian-bitbucket/static/bitbucket/internal/webpanels

Note that you can only do this in BitBucket Server, not Cloud.
