failed Add an alias to a repository

I did a commit under different email address. I followed the steps to turn this into an alias. I think I got it all right, but it has not had the outcome  as suggested here

Are you still experiencing this issue? Sometimes aliases can take some time to propagate. If your alias is still not showing in your commit, please give us some more information so we can locate it or, alternatively, if you don't want to share that info publicly, let us know and we'll create a Support ticket for you so we can continue helping you.
