Work with Source tree with Bitbucket Server

Chintan Patel September 14, 2017

Currently we have purchased Bitbucket Server license and implementing Bitbucket into organisation. We were already using Jira, and our user database is in jira as local store. For Bitbucket we have used Jira's User base.

Quesion:

We do not have given permission to my.atlassian.com / id.atlassian.com rights to all the users of organisation. How can we use source tree? It asks for Username/Password of Bitbucket cloud which we do not have account.

Hi Chintan,

Is your concern that every user needs an Atlassian ID in order to be able to activate Sourcetree? This is only needed once - once Sourcetree is activated your users will authenticate to Bitbucket Server using their JIRA credentials.

Hello Christian,

Yes my concern is every user needs an Atlassian ID.

Is there any workaround to that?

Thanks.
