Will transfering ownership of repo break anything?

I'm working on getting full ownership of a platform that dev's have disappeared on me, I've got full admin so I can do this. 

But before I do, am I going to risk breaking anything with my actual application by transferring ownership? Or should I wait for the new dev team to do it for me?

Hi Matthew, welcome to the Community!

If you have enough permissions, then there's no difference between you or another developer doing it. Transferring ownership of a repository is a very easy task and will not break your code, however keep in mind that the transferred repository will lose all access groups and will not inherit the destination account's default access groups. You'll have to set those yourself after the transfer.
