Why on earth don´t you have the splendid "stash" branching model in the documentation?

Roger Oberg July 3, 2014

I was looking howto implement/setup the git flow branching model in stash, but a bit modified because we have multiple production releases. I was searching/googling a lot how to do that!, when I stumbled upon the great blog post from your guys: http://blogs.atlassian.com/2013/10/inside-atlassian-feature-branching-on-the-stash-team/which was spot on what I needed!!

The blog post contained great examples of the "stash" branching model aswell as pictures showing how it works . I think it would be highly appreciated if you added that information to the stash documentation(https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/STASH/Using+branches+in+Stash) aswell ,and maybe also have a link from it from stash directly!, so that more people can see how they can use stash more effiecently!

Hi Roger,

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad our workflow is working well for you :) A lot of our git materials exceed the scope of just Stash (they're relevant to Bitbucket, Sourcetree, FishEye/Crucible and even Bamboo) so we tend to host them on our git microsite: http://atlassian.com/git- which is currently undergoing a revamp, stay tuned.

That said, we should absolutely do a better job at guiding new users there from our documentation and from the product as you suggested. Thanks for the feedback!

cheers,

Tim
