Why is red dot in bitbucket PR code displayed in front of open parentheses when there is no extra character?

What is the purpose of that? It is valid JavaScript, and doesn't need any sort of warning, it would seem.

A red dot is used for Unicode values that can't  be rendered. Usually you see this at the start of a file because the file has a BOM - Byte Order Mark character. If you hover the dot you'll  see it's  likely \ufeff

Cheers!
