Where are my old repos? (after upgrading)

Burak Özdemir July 19, 2017

I wasn't online here for a while. So I forgot my password. I clicked the password reset button and received an email saying:

"Your Bitbucket account is in the process of being upgraded to an Atlassian account."

I proceeded and now I can't see my old repos in my "upgraded account". !

Can anyone help me ?

Hi Burak,

Looks like instead of upgrading your previous account, you've just created a new one, that's why it's empty. I've checked your email address and I could see the Bitbucket account associated to it is only 4 hours old.

Do you remember your previous username, or any other email address that could be attached to it?

Best regards,

Ana

Hi Ana,

Thanks for the tip. Yes turns out i was signed up with my other email address. I solved he problem.

However, I still find it strange that the forgot password page does not say that the given email address does not belong to an account. Instead it behaves like i really forgot my password and creates a new user. The email I received was with the subject "we always forget"  :).

A tricky way to earn new users.

Regards,

Burak
