What are the limitations of the internal database provided with Stash?

If I plan on having only a handful of Stash users (5-7), will the internal database suffice?

Hi Andrew,

So our internal database is HSQLDB, which is a great lightweight database for testing, and can almost certainly support a handful of users. However, the biggest problem is that under certain circumstances it may lose or corrupt your data without warning.

You're not the first person to ask:

For that reason I would highly recommend you install a proper database like PostgreSQL, which is free and easy to get started with.

Cheers,

Charles
