Building an application and I want it to be able to update on demand from Stash repository.
If I'm looking to authenticate the 'git clone' operation, so the program can self-update from a private repository, I would think that access keys would be the natural tool to accomplish this.
However, in practice, using an access key never seems to authenticate. Does anybody have any insight as to deployment of access keys?
So I finally figured this out... sorta.
My solution revolved around using a PortableGit installation, changing the bash login script to point to a directory within the PortableGit directory (as opposed to the user's home directory) and then creating the usual .ssh structure within the "All Users" folder I made (and that the login script points to).
Not pretty, but works, and uses the Atlassian access keys feature. If anyone has a more elegant way to do this, feel free to comment!
