Unable to upload or commit source code as bitbucket not available in latest Visual Studio

Wei Chen October 24, 2021

After upgrade my Visula Studio to Microsoft Visual Studio Enterprise 2019
Version 16.9.4, unable to upload or commit my change to bitbucket as BitBucket from Home. I am still able to connect to Bitbucket via Manage Connection in Visual Studio. But under Team Explorer - Home the Bitbucket Sync not available anymore.

Hey Wei,

Just chiming in as I have noticed that there has been no answers from our community since you have posted this.
Whilst we are not experts in Visual Studio 2019, if you are still experiencing this issue - are you able to try to re-install the Bitbucket extension and see if you notice a change?
There is also a chance that authentication is failing if you are using HTTPS as we have moved from GIT username/password to App Password:

I have checked the release notes for this version of Visual Studio and cannot see any mention of the sync feature being deprecated, if you are still having issues I would suggest reaching out to the Visual Studio Developer Support community:

Cheers

- Ben (Bitbucket Cloud Support)
