Unable to create reciprocal link between bitbucket server with jira server

Merkur Interactive Services September 20, 2017

Hi,

Regardless of the attempts, it remains unable to link the application.
This goes for our:
Jira Server with BitBucket Server
Confluence Server with BitBucket Server.

The status in BitBucket remains "Status Unavailable" and I cannot save the changes as soon as I select anything other than "disabled".

I have read the articles and the setup seems correct, nonetheless unsuccessful.

Hi Keith,

Since this is happening to JIRA and Confluence from BitBucket I would probably rule out the two applications and focus on BitBucket or the network:

  1. Ping the Bitbucket Server from the JIRA and Confluence Servers to test connectivity
  2. Ping the JIRA and Confluence Servers from the BitBucket Server to test connectivity
  3. Run a curl from the Bitbucket Server to the JIRA and Confluence Servers to test connectivity
  4. Run a curl from the JIRA and Confluence Servers to the BitBucket Server to test connectivity

If all that looks good, increase the logging for BitBucket and reproduce the issue.  From there you should be able to get a better idea of what the error you're running into is and how to fix it.

Cheers,

Branden
