Unable to checkout project from Bitbucket (Mercurial)

Javier Ortiz Bultron February 3, 2014

I tried with SourceTree and with TortoiseHg, both the same result. It fails with the following error:

abort: C:\Users\jortiz00\Desktop\SimpleMarauroa\PCGen/content/outofcycledatasets/5163_paizo_pathfinder_rpg_beta_playtest_edition/data/alpha/paizo/pathfinder_rpg_beta/pathfinder_rpg_beta_playtest_edition_web_enhancement/pathfinder_beta_web_equip_armorshields_specific.lst: The system cannot find the path specified

Here's the URL of the repository:

https://javydreamercsw@bitbucket.org/javydreamercsw/simple-marauroa-java

I was hoping to being able to delete the directory causing (which is mi initial intent anyway) the issue from Bitbucket online edit but this is not an option.

How can I fix this?

Looks like I had this issue before and fixed already: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12303565/mercurial-clone-fails-with-the-system-cannot-find-the-path-specified

It is basically a long path issue. Move the local repository to something like C:\ on Windows does the trick.

If you haven't already, verify that the path is correct. Also, the path switched from backslash to forward slash after PCGEN and I don't think that would work in windows.
