Unable to access Bitbucket due to account deactivated

Daiyue Weng July 17, 2024

Hi,

I tried to access our Bitbucket repository using my former colleague's account (he has left the job and he is the only person accessing/using Bitbucket), but Bitbucket pops up 'You don't have permission to access this content'. The colleague's email used to access the Bitbucket has been removed by the company so how can I access the Bitbucket repo? The code is very important to us. I am also the admin for the Atlassian cloud of our company.

@Daiyue Weng This can be due to the period of time time that the account is used. I hope someone from atlassian might take a look soon.

Hi @Daiyue Weng

This account was disabled by an organisational administrator for that domain, as this is a managed account - we at Bitbucket Cloud support have no control over its administration.

You will need to reach out to an organisational administrator for that domain to re-activate the users account.

Cheers!

Hi, @Ben

I think I am the organisational admin for all the company domains, where is the interface for managing the user accounts for Bitbucket?

Hi @Daiyue Weng

We have documentation for re-activating a user account below:

If you are unable to manage this organization, you will need to raise a ticket with our support team using a paid workspace ID as we will need to discuss personal information with you that would not be appropriate for a public forum such as community:

If you encounter issues raising a ticket, please let me know the timezone you are in so I can raise a ticket on your behalf and ensure that you are supported by an engineer in your region.

Cheers!
