Hi @Prakanth Prasad and welcome to the community!

What the import option does is perform a clone of the repository you provided, creating a new Bitbucket Cloud repo.

I see that GitHub has deprecated the use of account passwords for Git operations (Bitbucket Cloud has done the same):

Can you try creating a personal access token instead, and use that instead of a password (along with your username), when you import the repo?

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora

Hi @Prakanth Prasad welcome to the Atlassian community.

May I request you look/ review, the:

  • Correctness of the repository URL.
  • Your permissions to access the repository.
  • Network connectivity issues between the Bitbucket server and the source Git repository.
  • Git is properly installed and configured, and you have the latest Git version installed.
