Trying to create an ssh key

After installing GIT I tried to create a private ssh key, but the executable ssh-keygen is not on my PC.  My understanding is this is suppose to be part of GIT

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

In order to run the ssh-keygen you need to open the Git Bash terminal first.

Ok, I thought "In a command prompt, run:" was a windows cmd window, not the bash terminal.
