Timeouts when fetching data via Bitbucket API

Hi,

our Jenkins client faces severe issues with timeouts when fetching git data via the Bitbucket API - it keeps running into timeouts since a couple of days. 

Another instance which is using the same Bitbucket user-id but from a different IP address seems to work fine.

 Is this related to rate-limiting of the API from a certain IP address?

How can we debug rate-limiting issues?

yes I did and they were able to help :-) 

It turned out that a git process was hanging on one of our machines...
