The remote authentication server is not available...

Steve Cronau May 4, 2020

The IP address on our Bitbucket Server (v 4.12.1) has been changed. Bitbucket uses JIRA (v 8.4.2) hosted on another machine for authentication. At login we now get the error message "The remote authentication server is not available..."

I've updated the Application Links in JIRA and Bitbucket now shows connected. Still get error at Bitbucket login.

Then tried Lockout Recovery Process (bitbucketserver0412/lockout-recovery-process-869179515.html) and it failed to work giving same error. Not sure what to do now.

@Steve Cronau   Have you tired to do  it  from JIRA

Log in your JIRA, go to Administration -> User Management -> JIRA User Server. Find your Bitbucket Server instance and click Edit. This way you could also fix IP address

It could be that the IP address have not been updated from JIRA  site.

Try and give feed back.
