Stash mailmap configuration in config?

Is stash going to do anything to prevent me from configuring my mailmap in my config file?

git config mailmap.file /path/to/mailmap

I've seen mention of using .mailmap but nothing about using config.

Hi Justin,

Stash always runs log with %aE and %aN, so the above configuration should work if you run it _in_ the Stash repositories, or setting it globally on the server.

Are you running Stash 2.5.0 or later? As Celso pointed out we shipped support a per-repository .mailmap.
