Sourcetree and Bitbucket on a closed network

Mike Zielinski September 9, 2016

I need instructions to install Sourcetree and Bitbucket Server on a closed network without an internet connection

The "answers" in Atlassian Answers appear to be incomplete and unsuccessful for some.  Is there a successful method for Installing Sourcetree and Bitbucket on a closed network?

Hi Mike,

I wonder if you've already gotten what you need. I did a blog post for setting up Bitbucket Server and Sourcetree for my work. Just going to share it with you and the rest here (link: https://t.co/vBVVwACTzl)

Cheers!

Hi Will,

I appreciate it.  My issue wasn’t with setting up Bitbucket Server but rather the fact that it’s impossible to license Sourcetree without an active internet connection.  We would have preferred to stay with the Atlassian tool set but this was a deal breaker.

We have been using GitKraken (https://www.gitkraken.com/) as our client which is a fabulous tool and allows installation with no external network connection.   Unfortunately GitKraken recently changed their pricing model and is no longer free so we are seeking a new solution.

Thanks

Mike
