Greetings,
I have SourceTree installed on a Mac. I have some code committed to a local repository. This appears in the local tab on the SourceTree Bookmarks window. I also have a dummy repo in Bitbucket that appears on the remote tab, which tell me SourceTree has my account information OK.
So Now I right-click the local repo and select Publish to Remote...
I get a Create remote repository dialog, which has my Bitbucket account, and lets me fill in a Descriptions, but there's an empty "Owner Field" that has a spinner next to it that just sits there. The "Create" button is disabled so there is nothing I can do but cancel. How do I get my local repo published to Bitbucket?
Not sure if I should call this "Fix" or "Workaround" but I got past it on my own.
From the Bookmarks window, click the gear, then Settings...
Highlight the Bitbucket account.
Click Edit Account
Change Protocol from HTTPS to SSH
I found that I had to enter my password into the Bitbucket Cloud config dialog to get this working. Even though I was prompted for a password, the spinner would never complete.
Try creating a repo again.
