Sathishkumar Jayakanthan August 24, 2017

Hi All,

Getting below error while trying to configure source tree. any help is appreaciated

//

The OpenSSH agent is running but the server still rejected your connection. You may need to add the correct key to your agent by selecting tools > Add SSH Key

Please note that manuall logging in with username and password is not supported via OpenSSH. Please either switch to a HTTPS URL or change the SSH Client Option to Putty/Plingk in Tools > Options

Hi Satish,

there can be many reasons:

try this..

from the ssh key pair add private key[id_rsa] under [Tools > Add SSH Key] and public key[id_rsa.pub] under your profile. check you have read and write permissions for the repo you are trying to clone.

Hi Sathishkumar, could you clarify a bit more so we can help you troubleshoot this issue?:

  • What were you doing when you got that message?
  • Can you confirm you're using the right SSH key (Tools > Add SSH Key)?
  • What version of SourceTree and OS are you using?

Best regards,

Ana
