Sorry, we couldn't change your email

I was trying to change my email address but I got " Sorry, we couldn't change your email" as the email address is associated with another account. However, if I try to log in or retrieve the password the website says there is no such account exist.

Hi Nam,

Sorry you're experiencing issues!

It sounds like the email address is associated with another Atlassian account, not a Bitbucket account. You can check this by trying to reset the password using that email address here: https://id.atlassian.com/login/resetpassword

You can log in to that Atlassian account and change the email to something else, which will free up that email address to be used on the Atlassian account tied to your Bitbucket account.
