I was wondering if Stash offeres simple hosting for static HTML files, for previews of code contained in the repository. Something similar to the "gh-pages" branch offerend by Github (http://pages.github.com/)

I've created a bare-bones plugin if you're interested. Nothing official, just something that might be useful for internal use:

Currently there's no link from Stash, you have to craft the URL yourself.

Unfortunately not, possibly for the same security reasons that Github had to move their hosting of pages to a different domain:
