Hi,
I have a private depot on bitbucket.
I'm using it from linux client, all works good.
But when I tried to access the depot from a Windows 7 client, using git command, I get this issue:
I can access the depot without login and passord !!
here's the command I used:
git clone https://bitbucket.org/[depot_path]
normaly it should asks me to enter the login and password, but it start cloning the depot !
Is it a normal behavior on Windows clients ?
Thanks,
Rachid
Hi Rachid, I assume you are referring to repositories in your message. To help you with this we'll need more info:
Have you made sure the repository is not set to public? Public repositories can be accessed by anyone.
Have you used that Windows machine before? If so, it's possible that Windows had already saved your credentials, you can check the Git Credentials manager and remove the entries there, then the next time it should ask you for your credentials again.
Let us know if you need further assistance!
Best regards,
Ana
Hi Ana,
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I mean repositories :)
My repositories are private, I just check again, here's my settings: (see attached image)
And for the Windows machine, it was my first use on this one.
And an other collaborator had the same issue on his peronal Windows machine, he can access the repository without asking login and password.
Best regards,
Rachid
