Resolving issues automatically via commit message does not work in forked repositories

clicht January 23, 2018

I forked one of my repositories. In the original one I always resolved issues by giving an appropriate commit message like "fixed issue #123".

But in the forked repository that does not work... ?

Thanks!

Hi Christoph! The forked repo will work as a new repo, are you also pushing your updates to the forked repo?

Can you let us know the exact steps you're following?

For more information you can read Resolve issues automatically when users push code.

Hello,

sorry for the delay - but the problem still exists.

I'm pushing via GitExtensions to the forked repository, where unfortunately the git message is ignored. With all the other 'non-forked' repos everything works fine. So messages like "fixed issue #123" automatically closes the respective issue in the non-forks.

Many thanks!
