Reject Tag names patterns if not specific users

Paul Davis January 23, 2018

Example:

Only certain users say John and Jane can create a tag called REL

So if Jill tries to create a tag with REL it will be rejected.

We have Bitbucket Scriptrunner installed.

So we are trying to do this with Scriptrunner.

How would this be done?

Hi Paul.

You can't really stop users from creating a tag, since git is a local repo. What you can do, is stopping them from pushing the tags into your repo. Is this what you mean? If so I think I might have a script somewhere that does something similar.

Cheers!

That is what I mean. A script would be perfect!

Hi Paul.

Actually this might be a bit more complicated than I originally thought. I've submitted a feature request here:

https://productsupport.adaptavist.com/browse/SRBITB-289

That you can follow. This seems like a reasonable request that could be done relatively soon. If you don't mind waiting sometime for us to release this, it might be better and more stable if we do this ourselves, rather than us handing in some code.

Cheers!
