I understand the need to put Stash into maintenance mode during the backup, but why can users at least have access to run git pull and have read-only access to Stash? Then automated builds and folks pulling down updates can continue to work. With global development access the Stash server, there isn't much time in which we can shutdown access to Stash.
For the initial backup solution we wanted something that was 100% foolproof, but we definitely have plans to improve on the current situtation
