Problem authenticating through git push

There are two accounts, a team and a personal account. I have disassociated myself as much as possible from the team account however I still get invalid authentication when I try to push to a new repository that is owned by me.My name shows up and everything. It's almost as if there is an old password hidden somewhere for me to find because I have tried resetting the password for my account several time with no success. All I want to be able to do is to be allowed to push to a repository.
