Pipelines: how to clone private https subrepo (authorization failed)?

Alex D March 21, 2018

I'm trying to set up pipelines for a certain project. The catch is that the project is referring to private https subrepos that belong to a different user than the root project. So I'm getting "authorization failed" when those subrepos are pulled.

I've read this, and this, and this, and this... the list goes on. Ultimately, I'm starting to think that SSH-related workarounds will not work for my https subrepos. But even in the SSH solutions it's not clear what exactly it is that I need to do. A step by step would be great - one where no steps are omitted.

Is it doable with https at all? I don't want to switch to SSH authorization on my dev machines. I don't care how the Pipelines worker accesses the repo, but I guess it's bound to use https because that's how the repos are listed in .hgsub.

Hi Alex,

From my understanding, we don't completely support .hgsub repos with Pipelines yet (either SSH or HTTPS): https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues/13146/support-for-mercurial-subrepos-in -- Please be sure to follow/vote this feature request!
