Half of our developers are in Dublin and the other half are in Malaysia. We are thinking of upgrading our Stash instance so that the whole company uses it.

At the moment a clone operation from KL using a Stash instance hosted in Dublin could take 30 minutes. This is for a very small repo.

Just wondering what the best approach would be, should we move to a more enterprise Stash configuration.

Hi @John Lawlor

You might like to review this page https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/smart-mirroring-776640046.html as this shows one way you could set the Bitbucket Server Data Centre up with a smart mirror in Malaysis so that all pulls are quick and easy and only the commits have to come back to Dublin.

Hope this also helps.

We are using Stash globally from a central instance run from London.  We use the DC version of the product.  Our main challenge is daily backups which due to the limited options available requires a daily outage of c30 mins.  We are working on reducing this.
