Hello all,
I've uploaded a new repository and stored it on a shared drive all workers have access to. I've connected it with my BitBucket account. So, I have it locally on my machine but because it's on a shared drive, everybody can actually open it.
1. Is this a good idea? To place a repository on a shared drive?
2. Now I want my colleague to work with source tree as well. And naturally I'd sent him a link with the repository and have him download to his local machine. But as the project is established on a shared drive, he has immediate access to it. Should he download the project anyway?
3. Is there a way to connect the project that my co-workers already have access to, to GIT?
the way I see it, they must get a new copy regarding their access - and I should also limit their access to the shared folder.
How would you go about it?
