Lost last two commits

john simpson May 23, 2016

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=790796816

Hi, I'm new at this so I hope you will be patient. I needed come code that was only available from an earlier commit. When I did I got a message that saying something I didn't understand. But I was able to get the earlier commit. But now I've lost my last two commits and can't go back to my last commit.

Is there any way to bring back my last commit? I do hope so. If I can't, I would lose a lot of development time and cause me to have to start all over again in many areas.

You'll need to use the git command line.
