LFS objects pruning?

Illia K February 3, 2019

Does bitbucket data center support LFS object pruning?

For example, can I get rid of some LFS objects that I no longer need in my repository and reclaim space occupied by them?

Hi Illia,

You have full control over your Bitbucket instance. If he is able to remove files then he can remove FLS objects which are files. You can run the command git lfs prune, you can find more info at Git LFS prune.

We recommend doing a dry run first, and of course taking a backup of your files.

Best regards,

Ana

Thank you Ana,

As far as I understand, Git LFS prune command removes files from user's local repository. How about pruning LFS files which are stored on a server?
