Is there any limit to the number of users I can restrict a branch to?

On bitbucket server, I had following error when trying to lock a branch for 51 users

You can not permit more than 50 users and/or groups for a restricted resource

Is there any way to increase this limit?

Hi Javier,

You can edit this number following the instructions in the Bitbucket Server config properties knowledge base article.  You'll be looking for the following:

PLUGIN.BITBUCKET-REF-RESTRICTION.MAX.RESOURCES.ENTITIES

Create the bitbucket.properties file, in the shared folder of your home directory, and add the system properties you need, use the standard format for Java properties files.

Note that bitbucket.properties is created automatically when you perform a database migration.

Bitbucket Server must be restarted for changes to become effective.
