Is there a way to give a new bitbucket user group access to all existing repositories

Calvinirwin October 12, 2016

I have created a new group and would like to grant access to all existing repo's but with 100+ repos I don't want to spend time doing this manually.

Is there a tool for this?

Hi Calvin,

I believe "Update repository access" button on the groups page (under the "three dots" menu, top right) should achieve what you're looking for. You can read more about it here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/organize-your-team-into-user-groups-665225542.html

Hi Calvin,

You can use the REST API'S .Here is an example to add many users simulaneously.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserverkb/how-to-add-users-to-bitbucket-server-using-rest-api-781396876.html

One mre way i can think of is using Script runner

Thanks

Vishnu

It looks like it only supports users not groups.  Not ideal because then I have to manage all of that...
