Installed Bitbucket 5.4.1 on Windows takes too long, cannot access Bitbucket eventually

shivaarava November 3, 2017

Hello,

I have installed Bitbucket 5.4.1 on Windows 10.  I was presented with the option of starting Bitbucket.  Bitbucket started successfully and I was able to navigate to the Bitbucket admin console and further.

However, after stopping and restarting the server from the bin folder, using the "start-bitbucket.bat" file, the "Elasticsearch 2.3.1" and "Bitbucket Server" command windows open.  However I never get to the point where, I see a message noting that Bitbucket is started and can be accessed at "http://servername:7990/bitbucket" .

There are no exceptions in the startup.

The last line couple lines I see on the command window are :

2017-11-03 10:32:52,510 INFO  [I/O dispatcher 17]  c.a.b.s.s.t.DefaultElasticsearchConnectionTester Connected to Elasticsearch version 2.3.1
2017-11-03 10:32:52,532 INFO  [Caesium-1-1]  c.a.b.s.j.c.i.HealthCheckRunner Health checks will run again after PT5M

I get a 404 - Broken link message if I access the server at "http://localhost:7990/bitbucket"

If you have encountered this situation, I would like to hear how you went about investigating or resolving this issue.

Shiva

Hi Shiva,

The correct URL for Bitbucket Server should be https://localhost:7990 - does that work?

Cheers,

No, it does not.  Does providing the Elasticsearch and Bitbucket console logs help?
