Increase "show more lines" count

bitzor July 4, 2023

Hello,

When reviewing a PR there are little up/down arrows to show more code surrounding what is being reviewed. At this moment clicking one of these buttons exposes another 10 lines of code. Is this configurable at all? I would really love to have this limit doubled or tripled.

Not sure if this is already an answered question, but my google searches haven't turned up much.

Thanks,

Hi @bitzor and welcome to the community!

I'm afraid that this is not configurable. I can create a feature request about this for our development team to consider, please feel free to let me know if you'd like me to proceed with that.

Kind regards,
Theodora

That would be wonderful, thank you.

I think an appropriate feature too would be something like other products have where there is a button to show the lines up to the piece of displayed code. For example, lets say I have a PR open where lines 1-10 are being shown and lines 100-110 are being shown. I'd like a button to show all lines between 10 and 100. I think both Github and Gitlab support this (at the very least the former does).

Hi @bitzor

Thank you for the feedback. There is actually one option that I missed earlier: when viewing a file in a PR's diff, you can select the three dots at the top right corner of the file > then select View entire file.

Is this something that works for you?

Hello Theordora,

This works for small files, but if one is working on a larger file (as I often do) this option tells me "the file is too large to be displayed".
