If code is checked-in in repo "x",  auto checkin should happen in repo "y" - is there an option in stash?

In specific I need certain files only (not entire repo) from repo "x" to be synced up automatically to repo "y", whenever someone checks-in code to repo "x".

Sounds like you need a script which is triggered using a web hook from Stash: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/STASH/Using+repository+hooks#Usingrepositoryhooks-Post-receivehooks
