How to make a branch as a separate project?

I have a project and a repository. I have created a branch out of main (default) branch. But I want to make a separate project out of new branch and continue working on Main branch.

The problem is now I see both main branch and new branch when I checkout through TortoiseHg workbench. If someone merge both branches and push my project is in a chaos :(

Please advice me how to separate 2 branches and work as 2 separate projects.

Your advices/suggestions are highly appriciated.

Hi Shashika!  If my understanding is correct, you'd like to create a separate project having your current data as a base, is that right? In that case, you can create a fork. You can find more information about this at Branch or fork your repository.
